Choose The Right Subject In Junior College For A Medical Profession

After 10th, the most popular subject that students choose to study is science. The science stream opens doors to popular undergraduate courses like Engineering and Medicine. If you want to be a commercial pilot, you will require to have studied science at one of the top PUC colleges in Bangalore or any other city.

One of the biggest advantages that Science students have over others is that they can pursue almost any career path should they choose to do so. For instance, a Commerce student cannot choose to study medical disciplines, whereas a science student can choose to study business administration.

Therefore, when making the decision of which subject to choose during your pre-university college, it's important that you consider what you want your future career to look like. For example, if you want to enter the field of medicine, then Science is your obvious choice.

However, the combination of your subjects should also be chosen wisely. Subjects like Physics and Chemistry stay constant; but you can choose to study either Maths (PCM), Biology(PCB) or both (PCMB). Based on this decision you can choose the following subjects to pursue a degree in the medical field.

Pharmacy

The science of pharmacy lies in techniques of preparing and dispensing drugs. Pharmacy links health sciences with chemistry in an attempt to make the use of pharmaceutical drugs safe and effective to use. If you aim to be a pharmacist in the future, you will need to start by choosing PCM/PCB in your pre-university college to qualify for a Bachelor in Pharmacy (BPharm).

Nursing

B.SC Nursing is a four-year-long bachelor degree that provides students with all the information regarding their responsibilities and objectives of being a nurse. To qualify for this degree, you must study PCB in your junior college, because you will need to understand all the various roles that these elements of science play in the human body.

MBBS

A degree is MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine) is a prerequisite to being a certified doctor. To pursue an MBBS degree, you must have passed your 12th grade in PCM/PCMB. Furthermore, you will also need to prepare for medical entrance exams. Once you enrol in a college with a good MBBS program, you will be studying for a total of 5.5 years.

Of course, there are multiple other medical fields you can choose to pursue a career in. However, these are the top three courses students opt for in medicine.
