1. System Consultant

As a system consultant, you will review the operations of an IT firm and ensure its operation structure is in place. After completing the review, you will advise on how to improve the adequacy and functionality of the company. You will suggest these improvements in the form of a well-planned strategy, which aims to solve complex problems. You will also work with the management to identify and implement cost-effective procedures while maintaining or increasing the level of productivity. 2. System Analyst

If you can land the job of a system analyst, you will be responsible for analysing, designing and implementing information systems (IS). Information systems are organisational systems that collect, store and distribute data for task completion. Hence, as a system analyst, you will have to check the suitability of the IS, so that employees get their intended outcomes. Apart from this, you will be responsible for analysing and designing techniques that solve business problems using information technology. You will train employees to learn these techniques. Other important duties of a system analyst include developing cost analysis, designing considerations, and implementing timelines for on-time project deliveries.

Since the responsibilities are bigger, the rewards will be higher. As a system analyst, your starting salary will range between Rs 6-8 lakhs per annum.

3. Software Application Architect

As a software application architect, you will be responsible for creating a software application design. The software design won’t be just limited to aesthetics. There will be a significant focus on user experience and user interaction, as well. After all, a user should be able to use the components of the app without any hassle. Moreover, you will have to work with software developers in tandem, who will turn your design into reality. Thus, you will have to guide the team to make sure a successful app is designed in time.

Because of the complexity of the job, the pay is really high. Your starting salary would range between Rs 10-12 lakhs, per annum.
