If you are one of those people, the first step towards making a career in this broad field is to enrol as a science student in a top PUC College in Bangalore. However, you must know what you are getting into before opting for this stream. Here’s everything you need to know about science PUC.

1. What will you learn in science PUC?

In science, the compulsory subjects are Physics (P), Chemistry (C) and Mathematics (M).  The fourth subject will be between one of Computer Science (C), Biology (B), and Electronics (E). Therefore, you can choose one of the following combinations - PCMB, PCMC, or PCME.

Let’s brief you a bit more about each subject.

● Physics - Physics consists of topics that give you an understanding of the universe. From learning about gravity through Newton’s law of gravitation to reading about the three laws of motion, physics puts your analytical mind to the test.

● Chemistry - Chemistry focuses on the composition, structure and behaviour of atoms, molecules and compounds. You will also learn about the changes these elements undergo during a reaction with other substances. In the future, you can apply this knowledge in fields such as medicine, biology, botany, ecology, forensics, etc.

● Mathematics - A challenging but fun subject, Mathematics is made up of various theories. Based on these theories, you will solve many problems from various topics. These topics form the basis of future undergraduate courses such as BE, B.Tech and BSc in Math.

● Biology - Biology is the study of living organisms, where you will learn about their physical structure, chemical processes, molecular interactions, physiological mechanisms, development and evolution. You will also gain an understanding of the anatomy of humans, animals and plants.

● Computer Science - In Computer Science, you will learn about the various hardware concepts and software programming languages. Based on your interest, you can make a career in either discipline.

● Electronics - If you plan to pursue electrical engineering, Electronics will be of great use to you. It will teach you about circuits and other mechanisms of an electronic device. Thus, you will have your bases covered.
